The Faraglionensis Monacone House is one of the Historic Houses of Capri it was the first residence on the Pizzolungo ridge, built in 1880 by the master builder Ciro Spadaro it takes this name from its position that rises in front of the Faraglioni, due to its incomparable position they soon made it a coveted refuge Artists and Writers among many the Austrian painter Oscar Kokoschka who later became a true monument of modern pictorial art, in 1929 the structure of the Faglionensis Monacone House was enlarged with a project signed by the engineer Edwin Cerio who theorized a well-defined type of masonry art which was then converted into what has been defined as the "Architectural style of Capri"
